Our electronic music blog was set up in 2007 with the goal that all content would be “post positive”. It was voted No.1 “Dance/DJ Blog” by Cision 2009 / 10 and shortlisted at the BT Digital Music Awards 2010.
Mark started by saying "How do we set up a WordPress blog" back in the Christmas period of 2007 and James came on-board to help out.
We built our first WordPress site together, put it live and since then we’ve been posting our favourite songs to the internet – part of our “post positive” approach to social media. As the site gained popularity we expanded to collaborate with more writers and photographers to help push the site forwards. Fried currently has 7 active writers covering Electro, Techno, Hip Hop, Dubstep, Drum and Bass, Grime and more in the electronic music scene.

Fried has grown to become a platform that we use to test some of our content strategies, WordPress theme features and plugins.
We’re respected amongst other blogs as a great resource for music, news and events and the blog was named “No.1 Dance/DJ Blog” by Cision and we were also shortlisted for “Best Blog” at the BT Digital Music Awards.
“Seemingly stitched from the cameraphone clips of hands-in-the-air moments at clubs and MP3s of the peak-time tracks that soundtrack those scenes, this is the site to get you in the mood for the weekend”
